Little sleep but a big idea

This sweet little baby doll has decided she likes staying up all night. I hope its just a short phase she is going through. My lack of sleep is giving me too much time to think about all the projects I want to do. I bought six chairs and a table for 35.00 a few weeks ago from my neighbors garage sale. I sanded them all and have been spraying them all white. The previous color was green. I have a number of coats on and I am still seeing green!

This is where my lack of sleep comes into play or I'm just plain wacky. I am looking at these chairs and thinking maybe I could turn them into fairy chairs, like the ones I made in the pic below. I have started this major project. We will see how they turn out. I hope they turn out!
See you soon!

Paper Doll 3 and a Nest

Paper doll 3 completed and three more to go. Why three you ask? I am making a pdf and it takes me a number of times to get the instructions right and the pictures that go with them. I started making the pdf for myself so I would remember what it is I do on each project and what products are used. I start and stop so many projects. I will get an idea or see something and I just have to stop and do what ever it is while it is fresh in my thoughts. It drives me crazy, but its just the way I do things. This makes for a very messy studio, for so many things are getting pulled out at one time.
I did decide to make a nest, but still need to make a hanger. My intentions are for the nest to become a swing and she can be displayed hanging from a hook. These nests would be so pretty in a Christmas tree or just displayed on a table with a little bird inside. Another project making a bird out of coffee filters! Lol. I am going to take a little break from the paper dolls and work on the pdf.

Paper Doll 2

Can you believe it's already Thursday? Did not really get as much done as  I wanted to but I did manage to work in another paper doll. I decided not to use as much paper on this doll. Her dress is tule with dried rose petals and shells for embellishment. Her hat is made of rose petals. I usually roll paper for the hair but decided to use jute twine for this doll. I have decided that she needs a swing to sit in. I am thinking a nest made of paper. Maybe?

In The Studio Making Paper dolls

I am in the studio this morning making paperdolls. This is my first post using my little Samsung tablet. Omg! I love this thing! I even took the pic using this thing. This should make it much easier to post and put up pics. I am going to be truthful and tell you that I have had this little tablet for a year so you can teach and old dog new tricks. I even posted a pic us on Pinterest and could not believe how easy it was. The Apps really make things simple.

Jean Seam Earrings

Lately I have been spending lots of time on Pinterest building up my boards. My time is still very limited, but it is time to start trying to work in a little blogging . Lilly is almost two and I have enjoyed every minute with her. She still wants most of my attention and she will have it! There is still a little time here and there to get creative. Mainly doing simple and quick type projects. I have always been a creative soul, so it is important for my well being to not ignore that. Before I begin with the creative side of this post. I have to share a little story. My youngest son is twenty seven and at his birth I had many complications and almost lost my life. The doctor told me not to have any more children that I might not be so lucky next time. This news was devastating to me at the time for I wanted a large family and really wanted a little girl. There was a time about two years after my son was born, I remember going into my bedroom and getting on my knees and praying to God that he would make a miracle happen and give me a little girl. That prayer may not have been answered in my time, but He did answer my prayer in His time. It is hard during the struggling part of life to give God the praise that he deserves; so I guess my telling this story is a way of praising him and letting it out that He does answer prayers. He can take a terrible situation and turn it for the good. I have my little girl!
I was searching around on Pinterest and ran across this bracelet made from the seam of a pair of jeans. I did make a bracelet and I will share that later. After the bracelet came this pair of earring. I just love them and find myself grabbing them often, they go with so many things!

Another Year Older!

I just wanted to stop in and say hi. I feel so guilty for not blogging,
but I know I will find the time to be more creative soon. Lilly is eighteen months and to be honest I am really just enjoying watching her grow and adjusting to my ever changing routine. I do find a few moments here and there for the creative side of life, but they are few. I can already tell Lilly has a creative spirit, she is starting to color with crayons. She loves color and the brighter the better. A little Sea Gypsy for sure!
