Mermaid Painting

I added this mermaid painting to my store yesterday. The inspiration came from a painting I found on Pinterest. I love the colors of this one and the misty feel it has. Do you dream? I do! Maybe she is dreaming of the rose garden she will one day plant. I have yet to plant mine, but I can dream✨✨✨12x16 stretched canvas.

Roses

Yes I have a thing for roses! I love to paint them and love anything that has a rose on it. Today I moved some things around just playing and grouping things together. Fun putting the things I make together with the things collected. I have an eclectic style, but a strong draw to the Victorian era as you can see. I really do love many styles and different styles influence the creative side of life for me.

Pretty little bowl and plates makes me want to paint some glasses to go with it.

Updating my blog

I have been working but not putting the pieces up on my blog. I am trying to do Facebook and instagram. I will put up the instagram link on my blog soon. It seems I am all over the place with painting , trying different techniques. The paintings will all end up in my etsy store soon.

Painting roses and crafting pretty little shoes

I decided this year to add a little pink to the tree. Last year it was all about stars and this year it seems to be shoes. I have decided they look like something Cinderella might wear. I am still in the process of making more. I love painting roses!

Painting Furniture In The Kitchen

Thank you so much for all the comments on my last post! I love painting! I have not posted much because other things needed my attention. When life gets in the way of creating it can be very frustrating, but after raising a family you learn to roll with the punches.
My kitchen is a work in progress.The below pic is a buffet, but I took off the top and put a 1920's side wash sink in. I decided to go with a little black and white theme. I finished painting it last night and hopefully will be able to give it a light antiquing tonight. This is a little cabinet that sits above my stove. This piece has already been antiqued, but still needs a little more highlight on the roses and I also need to add the glass knobs and it will be finished.I will share more pictures when it's done. I wanted my kitchen to be pieced together with my junking finds. It is very primitive in a sense. I have no dishwasher and no garbage disposal, but it's a workable space and that is all that matters to me. When not in the studio the kitchen is my next favorite place to hang out. I am ready for the weather to get a little cooler, so I feel like cooking. Summer for me is salads and sandwiches.

I have been picture tagged by the very talented Sue of barton originals. I am supposed to go into my picture files and pick the fourth picture in the fourth file.
