These are a little difficult to make because of their size, but the more you make the easier they get and the ‘Magic Circle’ really helps because you can loosen and tighten as needed. I will give one link to the Magic Circle but there are many out there, some call it the Magic Circle or Magic Ring.

How I did it---------
Size 10 thread
Size 7 hook
Magic Circle
Into the Magic Circle work-------
1 double crochet
1 treble crochet
1 double crochet
1 slip stitch
1 double crochet
1 treble crochet
1 double crochet
3 single crochet
1 treble crochet
3 single crochet
Join in 1st double crochet with a slip stitch, pull your magic circle string, now grab a needle that the thread will fit through and weave your threads back through the heart. If the top of the heart was not as indented as I would have liked, I ran the thread through the area of the slip stitch and back through the center, pulling tight and then finished off. Some hearts would be just fine. I guess it depends on if that slip stitch is tight or not, so maybe tighten up when making that stitch.
