A Teeny Tiny Crochet Heart

I love Pinterest. The other day I was searching hearts and found lots of inspiration. I have a design in my head and was looking for quick little hearts to crochet and I found many. One caught my eye that was perfect, so I gathered my supplies and made about ten of them. While I was making the little hearts another idea popped into my head and so I gathered up some more supplies. I started making them with thread, but they just did not turn out the way I wanted them to, so I tried changing stitches, but no the stitches given did give the right shape, so what could I do to make them better and be what is needed for my project! I thought of the ‘Magic Circle’ and sure enough it worked! A teeny tiny heart smaller than a dime. So many things you could find to put these adorable hearts on. I love them.

These are a little difficult to make because of their size, but the more you make the easier they get and the ‘Magic Circle’ really helps because you can loosen and tighten as needed. I will give one link to the Magic Circle but there are many out there, some call it the Magic Circle or Magic Ring.
Magic Circle
Click on the above link and it will take you to one tutorial
How I did it---------
Size 10 thread
Size 7 hook

Magic Circle
Into the Magic Circle work-------
1 double crochet
1 treble crochet
1 double crochet
1 slip stitch
1 double crochet
1 treble crochet
1 double crochet
3 single crochet
1 treble crochet
3 single crochet
Join in 1st double crochet with a slip stitch, pull your magic circle string, now grab a needle that the thread will fit through and weave your threads back through the heart. If the top of the heart was not as indented as I would have liked, I ran the thread through the area of the slip stitch and back through the center, pulling tight and then finished off. Some hearts would be just fine. I guess it depends on if that slip stitch is tight or not, so maybe tighten up when making that stitch.
