I have to be honest and tell you that I am just exhausted from all this painting and organizing of the studio. Yesterday I slept most of the day and that is really not me at all, but I must have needed it. Two years ago I was hit with two auto immune diseases and at times I suffer with fatigue, but I am bound and determined not to let it stop me from doing what I love! I just have to learn not to push so hard. I find it very hard to chill out. I must learn to chill! LOL!

St. Augustine
I have been wanting to post these pics since Mothers Day. My Daughter in law is going to Flagler College in St. Augustine. St.Augustine is one of my favorite places. I am so lucky to only live thirty minutes away from this Florida treasure. The Oldest City. As you can imagine antiquing here is about as fun as it gets. I am getting off track, but any way this is the entrance hall to Flagler College. There was a tour guide going on while I was taking these pics. This Florida girl needs to be a tourist for a day so she can get her facts straight, the guide said that it was at one time a hotel, but I just thought you might enjoy seeing this beautiful entry way to this beautiful college

What a lovely place. You took some good pictures. I spent most of the day yesterday sleeping to, only I had a terrible migraine, still not right yet. Think we both should get into the habit of chilling more. I just seems like a waste of time.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful images. Thanks for sharing those. I've never been there, but would love to visit sometime. Also, a good catch up rest is just good for the soul.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh my! These pics are gorgeous! Thanks so much for sharing them. I adore architecture and love taking pictures like these too! Something we have in common. A few years ago we went to Newport, RI and toured the old mansions. Nirvana!!! We couldn't take pics inside, but I DID have a sore neck from "looking up"!
ReplyDeleteAm hoping that you're feeling zippier today! Am sending a HUGE hug! Terri xoxo
I love St Aug. too! I always go to the old Spanish Fort, and the Light House on the island, I love just wandering the streets, it is so beautiful, you would probably like Mt. Dora
ReplyDeletein Lake Cty. Florida is so cool, thanks for sharing, I have friends that work at the college, it is so amazing
Karey
Beautiful pictures. Haven't been to Florida in over 22 years. I'm sure a lot has changed. I just went to the college website. What a beautiful building. Unbelievable. I know you had a lovely time. Listen to your body. Do what it tells you to do. Take care and hugs, Susan
ReplyDeleteOh what a lovely place. I so enjoy wandering through buildings like that. I once fell on some steps in a big huge old library because I was so engrossed in viewing the architecture that I leaned too far back while looking up and landed on my behind. Luckily I was on a landing and not actually on the steps. I remember actually laughing about it and some people helped me up and said "so he swept you off your feet did he?" I was near a wonderful painting of an older gentelman that was more that life like.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful photos...how lucky you are to be so close. Another reason I should visit my brother and his wife.
ReplyDeleteKim, those are gorgeous pics! Love the ceiling, love the woodwork, love the windows! Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better today!
