Painting and Manicure

I gave myself a manicure  this morning and had to laugh when I sat down to paint. I have never in my life painted my nails turquoise,  but I have to say I really like it. All of the paintings that I have going on have lots of blues and turquoise, but that is what I think of when painting mermaids. You might ask why are there roses on that mermaids  tale and there is a simple answer , just because I can, now let's just hope I can pull it all together. I am going for a folk art feel and so far  I like it.
