Fall Color

I had the need to see some fall colors, so I transformed a corner of the studio and this is what I came up with. I just love the tree. I found the branch on side of the road, took apart a little fall garland and wrapped a little bunch around each branch, added a strand of lights, a few butterflies and fall ornaments. We really do not see much color her along the northern Florida coast. There are little patches of color here and there. A patch of goldenrod is a sure sign fall is here.

Have I ever mentioned that I love velvet roses? I had the roses sitting on a shelf next to the purse and thought the purse would be the perfect container. I am now looking at purses in a new light!

I have plans of painting this piano someday.

I just added the above pic because I loved how the chandelier was front and center. The picture above the piano belonged to my grandmother. A little corner of my world.

Sunday Sunrise

I managed to make my way to the beach this morning.  I am going to try to do this every Sunday.  A beautiful Sunday sunrise, a little cloudy, but still a beautiful skyscape!

Chair redo almost finished

This little redo has taken much longer than expected. There are six chairs and I decided to go boho with the look. Each chair is covered in a not matching fabric and I just love it. This is just a little peek and more pics when complete. I am trying to add a little color to my life and really liking it. See you soon!

Romantic Boho Bracelet

I managed to wake up early ( 4:30 AM ) and thought I would make  my way to the studio for a little creative time before Lilly woke up, but as  I was making my way to the studio  I here her crying, so we turn on the Disney channel and watch  a little show called 3rd In Bird. It is really a sweet show. A little rocking and she was back to sleep. Studio time!
I wanted to make something simple and quick. I am a  Boho Girl, always have been and always will be. I decided that I wanted to make a bracelet with a romantic boho feel to go with an outfit I have.  I noticed some memory wire on the table and made a little loop with my needle nose pliers and started stringing beads. Added a few dangles and it was finished. I made two. The center lace is nothing more than a piece of lace scrunched in the middle and a little broach added and tied on to my wrist. The lace is new and tea stained. The only thing missing is  a little leather and I love it!

You know those catalogs you get in the mail and you say in your mind you'll just take a peek all the while knowing you will see something you just have to have. That happened last fall with this coat. I did get it and I do love it!

It has happened again and I am in love with these boots from Victorian Trading Company! I could never justify spending that much for a pair of boots, so I will just admire them right here on my blog.
